“Misty Memories” is a study a study in levels of consciousness and the stillness of memories that delves into complex layers of human awareness. Memories can be seen as static snapshots of our lives, suspended in time, as we evolve and move forward. Yet, this stillness is an illusion, while the memory itself remains unchanged, our interpretations of it shift and evolve with new life experiences. Once triggered these memories resurface influencing our consciousness and sense of presence.
Materials: dried chamomile, coffee grounds, acrylic, Flashe paint, pastel and pencil on raw canvas. Unframed.
